Anne 18th July 2019

I first knew Margaret as a colleague on the labour ward at Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, in 1988. She was a Health Care Assistant, and is particularly remembered for attention to detail, her caring for new mums & babies, and for that immaculately clean and tidy store room. Many a Caesarean section went smoothly with Margaret as the 'runner'. The utter joy she and Norman showed when they became grandparents was shared by everyone on duty that day, including Pete Wheeler, the desk porter in maternity. Later, Margaret became more a friend and neighbour when I moved into my house in Tyron Way. She and Norman were among the very first people to live in that road, and it just will not be the same without a Storer family there. Thank you Margaret for everything you gave to maternity care. You are truly irreplaceable. Rest in peace.
